Congressman Dave Loebsack is Iowa’s biggest Hillary Clinton supporter and he’s following her dangerous lead on foreign policy. Clinton and Lobesack want to keep spending our precious resources on missions that are counterproductive to our security.

Dr. Christopher Peters is running for U.S. Congress to take on the special interests. That’s why he’s not asking for their money. When Dr. Peters gets to Congress, he’ll serve the people of Iowa, not his corporate campaign donors.
- Dr. Peters answered every question – he’s prepared to make tough decisions to heal our political system.
- Congressman Dave Loebsack didn’t respond to the questionnaire.
Will you stand with Dr. Peters? Your donation today of $17.76 will put us in position to stand up to the Washington establishment from both parties, reduce the influence of money in politics, and bring the Constitution back to life.

Funny story – Congressman Dave Loebsack mentioned me during his speech at the Iowa State Fair this past week. Check out the video below.
Congressman Loebsack was talking about Social Security when he pointed at me and said, “I want it to be there for you, Adam.” He knows my name since he’s been my Congressman for almost a decade and I’ve been a pretty engaged citizen, and since I’m now working for his election opponent, Dr. Peters.
I got a chuckle from the shout-out, but the truth is – I don’t think Social Security will be there for my generation, at least not in its current form.
As a young Iowan, I’m frustrated that politicians like Congressman Loebsack are making Social Security an emotional issue, when it should be a mathematical issue.
Consider two basic facts: One, According to the non-partisan Urban Institute, an average American couple actually takes in more Social Security benefits than they paid in over their careers; and two, as the baby boom generation ages into retirement, the balance of workers and retirees will continue to tip.
I know many young Iowans agree with me – reckless federal spending will make it extremely difficult for the federal government to fund services like Social Security, unless we take serious steps today to fix the budget crisis.
I support Dr. Christopher Peters for Congress because he wants to protect benefits for today’s seniors and fundamentally restructure the safety net for me and future generations. I hope you’ll join me.
On Monday night, Congressman Dave Loebsack joined 147 Republicans and 81 other Democrats in supporting HR5606, a bipartisan measure which would have expanded the federal government’s data-gathering authorities. The U.S. House held the vote out of regular order and it failed to reach the necessary threshold to advance.
The bill under consideration this week would have further eroded our Fourth Amendment rights, giving the federal government more access to our financial information without probable cause or a warrant. These proposals are brought forward in the name of security, but we know from past experience that innocent Americans will lose their privacy and we won’t be safer because of it.
I’m disappointed that my own congressman, Dave Loebsack, has not been a leader for civil liberties. Privacy and due process are some of the foundations of our republic and Iowans deserve a leader who will stand up for the entire Bill of Rights.

U.S. Senator Rand Paul announced his endorsement this week of Dr. Christopher Peters, a candidate for the U.S. House in Iowa’s 2nd District.
Senator Paul, R-Kentucky, released the following statement:
“Our Congress lacks enough Constitutional Conservatives who will fight for a smaller government, a balanced budget and individual liberties. As a physician myself, I know Dr. Peters will strive to find a remedy to our nations ills. Iowans deserve an independent-minded representative. I am thrilled to stand with Dr. Christopher Peters and I hope you will too.”
Dr. Peters released this statement:
“Senator Paul is a great leader for liberty and I’m honored to have his support. He has stood up to the Washington machine over some of our most important issues – including endless debt, mass surveillance, and much needed criminal justice reform. I look forward to winning this election in November and helping lead those fights in the U.S. House.”
